Introduction

Permaculture is a design system based on ethics and principles which can be used to establish, design, manage and improve all efforts made by individuals, households and communities towards a sustainable future.

This site explores the 'essence of permaculture' in a simple and clear way, expanding on the work of co-originator of the permaculture concept, David Holmgren.

It is targeted at permaculture practitioners, designers, activists and teachers, Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) holders and other suitably experienced people, who are looking to deepen their understanding of permaculture and improve their conceptual skills and tool kit for design and action.

The Holistic Life: Sustainability through Permaculture

The Holistic Life

A fantastic introduction to permaculture by author / activist Ian Lillington, explaining the concept in a clear and concise way. Ian has applied the permaculture priciples in all aspects of his life to help find 'sustainability through permaculture' with plenty of concrete examples of how it's done.

A great gift idea that will inspire your friends and family into action.
